My "journey" started 63 days ago. I began simply by using the myfitnesspal app to track my calorie intake and took park in the #peakstreak Twitter campaign.
My starting weight was 212 lbs.
My goal was to lose 2 lbs. per week, despite my generally sedentary lifestyle (working as a secretary and exercising almost never...) so my calorie goal was set at 1200. I allowed myself, mentally, to go as high as 1500, but found myself comfortable at 1200, so there were only a few days when I went over my goal, never actually reaching 1500 calories.
Day 56, weight is 200.8 lbs.... a loss of 12 lbs overall.
Day 59, an "angel" sponsored me for My Peak Challenge Prep Program. I joined the private Facebook group and began watching the educational videos. Here's where I'm at so far:
W1D1: 10-8-6-4-2 (#peakstreak day 60)
W1D2: Active Recovery (#peakstreak day 61)
-15 minute walk at moderate pace around the building where I work
W1D3: 10-8-6-4-2 (#peakstreak day 62)
-Wall Slide Pulls
-Elliptical for cardio warm up, 15 minutes, slow pace... 1/4 mile!
I believe that catches us up to the present... I'm hoping to post daily and record my journey.
Coming back to edit that I created an avatar for "angels" to use as a way to repay my Angel's generosity. My Angel has not made his/herself known yet, and I am not sure they will so I can thank them personally. The avatar:
